Specialization in Municipal Finance
The University of Chicago is one of the first universities in the US to offer a graduate Specialization in Municipal Finance, open to students in the Harris School’s Master of Public Policy program. Graduates with the Special now hold positions throughout the municipal finance industry and in government at all levels.

Careers in Courses: Municipal Finance
In partnership, the Harris Career Development Office and Center for Municipal Finance offers a no-cost, no-credit course available to Harris students interested in careers in municipal and public finance. Through employer-led sessions, applied skill development, and structured networking, students gain the tools and connections needed to launch a career in the field.

The Center is pleased to offer an executive education credential program – the Fundamentals of Municipal Finance Credential – for working professional, sponsored jointly with the Lincoln Institute for Land Policy and the Harris School’s Custom Programs team.
